The Graduate Certificate in Humanitarian Health is a uniquely challenging course designed for humanitarian health practitioners. The Graduate Certificate in Humanitarian Health (GCHH) provides an avenue for meeting the educational needs of humanitarian health workers in Australia and internationally and those with a desire to gain knowledge and expertise to work in the humanitarian sector. The GCHH will equip health professionals with the essential knowledge and skills to engage with the public and clinical health needs/issues that emerge in complex humanitarian response contexts and other low resource environments. We would like to invite suitably qualified nurses, midwives, para-medics and doctors to apply for the course. The course is delivered online, using a range of learning tools and resources, including live webinars, peer-led discussion and self-paced study. Units covered include The Humanitarian World; Nursing and Midwifery in Low Resource/Complex Environments; Management of Humanitarian Health Programs; and Nursing and Midwifery of Vulnerable Populations in Low Resource/Complex Environments. The course is delivered by Deakin University through the Centre for Humanitarian Leadership and the School of Nursing and Midwifery, supported by GlaxoSmithKline, Save the Children and Deakin University. The course commences on the 11th November, and applications can be made through the Deakin University website. We thank GlaxoSmithKline for their support in the establishment of the Graduate Certificate in Humanitarian Health
